Are we trusting God to complete his work in our lives or are we trying to finish the job for him? God’s after something completely different than our getting it all together.
Anxiety wears many faces: apprehension, nervousness, worry, fear, and panic. It robs us of peace, making it hard to concentrate on simple tasks, make decisions, and stand firm in faith. Regardless of the cause, worry will become a prison if we do not learn powerful strategies to break the chains of toxic thinking.

At times we may feel that nurturing our souls is a luxury of time we can’t afford—there’s simply too much to do. When this project is done, when the kids are out of diapers, when we can cross off our tasks…then we can take time to spend with Christ.
Isn’t it easy to grab hold of a verse and try to stick it onto our souls like a bandaid? As if one quick fix and the bleeding of our hearts will stop. Yet bandaids will not cure the troubles of our souls, any more than pulling a single verse out of context will fix our brokenness.Verses will never be bandaids, but believing opens our hearts for the power of God to strengthen and calm.
If we choose to breathe grace for the simple things each day,what will happen?
We can learn to take life one step at a time, trusting God in the midst of the moment, no matter what that moment looks like. Or feels like.
