MILITARY LIFE

Hey there, I’m Ginger!
I’m so glad you’re here.
Are you longing to thrive in a deeper life of hope, health, and wholeness in Christ?
Tired of feeling stuck in patterns, thoughts, and emotions that drain life from your soul and impact your health?
Friend, I’ve been there. I’d love for you to join me in the journey to deeper contentment, joy, and hope in your everyday life with God.
What sets my soul on fire is helping women to embrace the truth that sets us free to thrive in our identity in Christ.
I’ve had my battles with worry, perfectionism, insecurity, and discouragement, but I’m learning the healthy habit of relying on Christ moment by moment. This may sound like a lot of spiritual mumbo-jumbo, but the truth is . . . it makes a real difference.
I help busy women—gals like you— experience hope, health, and wholeness in Christ so they can thrive.
Stick around and let’s live wholeheartedly in Christ and enjoy what matters most. I write and speak about biblical truth, mental and emotional health, listening to God, overcoming anxiety, spiritual practices, and trusting Christ to do the deep work of heart change and building healthy habits.
Together, we’ll learn to live holy and whole as we journey with Christ to deeper. . .
- intimacy with God
- understanding of God’s Word
- habits of health for the whole person
- freedom from the fears that can keep us stuck
With heart, hope, and a dash of humor, let’s receive God’s blessings, fresh for today.
Are you ready to thrive?
A deeper life starts now.
A little about me
When I was growing up, on any given day, there were two things I wanted to do:
- To live the prairie life with Laura Ingalls.
- To be a mermaid.
Didn’t you?
Well, somehow, I grew out of these playful aspirations of childhood and found myself married to a Marine. I never planned on marrying a military man, but was an amazing adventure. Though I’ve never lived on the Prairie, my love of mermaids may just be part of the reason why I’ve been a water-fitness instructor for the past twelve years!

WRITING
Holy in the Moment: Simple Ways to Love God and Enjoy Your Life
Abingdon Press, March 2018
So much more than a religious version of perfectionism, holiness is a secret to enjoying life with freedom and joy. Dispelling the perception that holiness is a standard of conduct rather than a gift to receive, Holy in the Moment includes my personal journey in finding help and hope for anxiety as well as biblical insights, and simple ideas to enjoy a deeper life of freedom in our identity in Christ. Offer your moments to God and trust Him to make you holy and whole, living well in the choices you make today.
I’ve also contributed to several compilation books. You can find them on my Resources Page.

MILITARY LIFE

Years ago, God changed the direction of my life when my boyfriend asked, “Did I ever tell you that I want to go into the Marine Corps and fly jets?” After we married, he left the next day to begin flight school—this was my first taste of life as a military spouse.
Challenges of military life include stress of deployments and adjustments frequent moving brings to the family. Click HERE to read about my battle with anxiety that onset with Grave’s Disease during a cross-country move in the first chapter of Holy in the Moment. A life of military service has shaped our family in countless ways.
- Commitment to God, country, and duty
- Integrity and leadership
- Camaraderie and faithfulness
- Sacrifice and honor
Though I may have been a reluctant military bride, I am so proud of my husband and all that he has given to both our nation and our family. Little did I know that God was going to use our military experience develop a speaking and writing career, as well as help build a non-profit ministry, celebrating a 10 year anniversary in 2024!
