Friend, I’ve been there. I’ve had my emotional battles with anxiety, perfectionism, and insecurity, as well as health challenges with Grave’s Disease and thyroid issues. We all have our struggles, but what makes the difference is how we respond.
Married for 34 years to my Marine husband, I am a military wife and mom to three young adults. Professionally, I am a fitness instructor, author, blogger, speaker, editor, and trained discipleship mentor.

Too often, we separate nurturing our soul and spirit from our physical health. The reality is that it all works together! God created us to live fully in all aspects of our being.
Hope and health begin with a spiritual foundation that can impact our mental, emotional, and physical wellness.

As a fitness instructor, I help clients increase and maintain physical strength, endurance, balance, and mobility. A few years ago, I lost my sister to a devastating battle with ALS. It was a heartbreaking, but powerful reminder that each healthy day is a gift.
It was also a sobering reminder of how important it is to attend to our health. We know this, but maintaining motivation and consistency is challenging, isn’t it? In the busyness and stress of life, we often sacrifice or overlook the importance of taking care of ourselves while working hard and caring for others.
The good news is that it doesn’t have to be this way. It IS possible to fulfill our responsibilities and maintain healthy rhythms. The truth is, we are far more effective when we do. (And we feel better too!)
I’m excited to add health and wellness to my writing and speaking with The Wellness Challenge and upcoming Wellness Project Course.

A professional speaker with 18 years of experience and over a hundred sessions for women’s events, retreats, conferences, and podcasts, Ginger empowers women of all ages with practical tools, powerful truth, and personal testimony.
Her experience as a teacher, fitness instructor and trained discipleship mentor enhance her ability to motivate, encourage, and inspire women to grow in faith, as well as healthy thoughts, emotions, and lifestyle.
Selah-Award finalist, Ginger Harrington is the author of Holy in the Moment: Simple Ways to Love God and Enjoy Your Life. Wife of a retired Marine, she is an entertaining speaker, innovative ministry leader, and mom to three young adults.
Holding a BA and MA in English, Ginger is a founding member of Planting Roots, (2014-current), a non-profit ministry for women in the military community. As Director of Publishing (2018-2021), Ginger developed the publishing arm of the ministry, contributing content, editing, and overseeing all aspects of publishing seven Bible studies and devotionals. She currently serves in Leadership Development, providing training for a staff of 40.
Helping women discover biblical ways to experience wholeness and health in Christ, Ginger celebrates 15 years of blogging at her award-winning website GingerHarrington.com. She has been interviewed on TV, radio, and podcasts, as well as featured at Bridges TV, Revealing the Truth, The Meeting House, Simply Whole-Hearted, Feathers in Flight, More to Life, Guideposts Military Blog, Lightworkers, (in)courage, and Faith and Fitness Magazine.
