When You Need a Transfusion of Encouragement

Sometimes we just need a transfusion of that sweet blessing of encouragement.

When was the last time you found yourself in a muddle of discouragement? We’ve all had bad days and difficult seasons.  No matter how strong we are or how much we’ve got it together, everyone has experienced the weight of a weary soul. Join me for a series on encouragement as we dig in together to discover truth that infuses life and joy.

Today I am sharing a story

of how a friend encouraged me in my first vlog.

How can you be intentional about encouraging a friend today?

You can find lots of encouragement on this link up at holleygerth.com with Coffee for Your Heart.

  1. Awesome job! I love when God uses us and we get to see the fruit of our obedience! I will be sharing this video on my page as well as I know someone else out there needs to be encouraged too!

Thanks for the encouragement. You have the sweetest, most supportive way of giving a kick in the pants. Pure gift that is so genuine and true! You are a gem!

  2. Melinda Lancaster

Thank God for your friend, Larissa! Encouragement is so powerful and it takes so little on our part to offer some.

You did a great job on your first vlog, Ginger. Keep up the great writing and speaking!

    • Ginger Harrington

Thanks so much, Melinda! I can tell you have a gift with encouragement as well. I have been so blessed by your kind comments, Tennessee Friend:)

  3. This was a great first video! You really have a way with encouraging others, even as you talk about how a friend encouraged you. God has really blessed you with your friendship with Larissa, it’s great to have friends like that!

    • Ginger Harrington

You are so right about the blessing of friends who encourage. That is one of the things I love about you–you have a heart to encourage those around you. Love you forever, Sweet Daughter Girl!

  4. Ginger,
Enjoyed the encouragement, needed a spoonful today! Some days only a bucketful will do!

    • Ginger Harrington

Amen, Sistah! Love the image of a bucket full of encouragement! Praying for God to encourage you in a special way. Thanks for joining the conversation.

  5. Excellent! Thank you for this word of encouragement. When I think of an encourager you always come to mind (as does Larissa!). I’m grateful for the words of encouragement you have sent my way. The word picture of ‘transfusion’ is great! I think it is Beth Moore who likens encouragement to a ‘courage transplant.’ Such good analogies!

    • Ginger Harrington

I still remember the first time I met you. You were speaking for our WOC Quantico group on encouragement–and you talked about being a courage planter. So glad we met and so grateful you encouraged me to start writing!
