Life is God’s gift to enjoy, yet our attitudes can make or break the moment. We have no shortage of irritations and challenges, that’s for sure. Isn’t it easy to let what’s wrong overshadow what’s good in your life? Practicing gratitude becomes a holy habit that changes our perspective and empowers us to walk in faith. Be sure to grab a copy of the  Grateful Moments Workbook at the end of this post!

Gratitude can make your life better in many ways. Cultivate the habit of gratitude with this free workbook from Ginger Harrington, author of Holy in the Moment. Make your moments matter with a grateful heart.

During November we practiced gratitude with a fun challenge. Our playing ground included Facebook and Instagram with a little Twitter just for extra fun. We celebrated with a few giveaways as well. Congrats to Cheryl, Melody, and Muriel!

Big News from November

I’m very grateful that Holy in the Moment is a Silver Medal Winner for the  Military Writers Society of America book awards! You can read the contest review here. Also a finalist in the Author Academy awards, Holy in the Moment makes a wonderful Christmas gift this year! Learn more about the book here.

Here are some of my favorite moments from our challenge:

“I realize that in my busyness, I grumble more than I praise. I complain more than I thank. I count the mistakes rather than count the blessings. This is my coffee mug on my desk at work. It greets me every day and holds that precious elixir of life!”

“My boss gave me this mug and I know “grateful” is her favorite word, but it has secretly tugged at my heart to remember to be so each and every day – at work (I have a job), at home (I have a place to live), in my car as I sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic (I have transportation), as I wait in line at the grocery store to check out (I can afford to buy food).”

Someone else posted these great thoughts on gratitude:

Gratitude is a choice! When you are facing adversity, challenges, hardships or trials, let gratitude be your default!!! ‬‬‬

Grateful for the word of God that encourages me & focuses me on the right things when facing those challenges!

“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭NLT‬

“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭NLT
